Atishi Slams Centre Over ED Raids on AAP Leader, Alleges Diversion from Modi Degree Row Amid LNJP Hospital Scam Probe

Former CM and AAP leader Atishi hit out at the Centre over ED raids at the party colleague’s residence and said that this is being done as part of a diversion tactic from the issue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s degree.

“Why was there a raid at Saurabh ji’s place today? Because questions are being raised across the country about Modi ji’s degree — is Modi ji’s degree fake? The raid was conducted to divert attention from this discussion. At the time of the case being mentioned, Saurabh ji was not even a minister. This means the entire case is false. Satyendar ji was also kept in jail for three years, and ultimately, CBI/ED had to submit a closure report. This clearly shows that all the cases against Aam Aadmi Party leaders are nothing but lies and politically motivated," she tweeted.

At LNJP Hospital, the project cost jumped from Rs 488 crore to Rs 1,135 crore, yet no significant progress was seen. In many places, construction began without approval, and contractors’ roles were found to be suspicious. The Hospital Information Management System (HIMS), pending since 2016, was allegedly delayed deliberately.

The case registered by the ACB has now been taken over by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The ED’s investigation is focused on financial irregularities during the hospital construction and the alleged political and administrative collusion behind it.
