An Air India flight, scheduled to depart for London from Ahmedabad, was cancelled on Tuesday due to technical issues. According to the details, the Air India flight AI 159 had arrived from New Delhi to Ahmedabad and was scheduled to take off to London. This was the second Ahmedabad to London Air India flight to have encountered a technical glitch, after another one crashed near the Ahmedabad airport on June 12, killing 241 of 242 onboard. On Monday, another of the carrier’s flights was cancelled after facing delays caused by operational issues, eventually leading to the expiry of the crew’s duty time. News agency ANI quoted sources and reported that Air India’s flight AI2493 from Mumbai to Ahmedabad was supposed to be operated by an Airbus A321-211 aircraft (VT-PPL). Early on Tuesday, an Air India flight from San Francisco to Mumbai suffered a technical glitch in one of its engines. All passengers on the flight were asked to deplane at the Kolkata airport, where the flight had arrived for a layover.
